In their own words
I am an MBBS, MD, PhD Anatomy and have been a respected and loved Teacher of Anatomy subject for last 26 years. During this time I have worked as Professor-Anatomy, Head of Department, Dean of a Medical College as well as Deputy Director Organ donation in a Hospital.Throughout I have been told by students that when I teach them the difficult subject of Anatomy, they understand as well as recall it very well.With this background and faith I have started my YouTube channel called "VB Anatomy Academy". This will teach Medical students of all streams (Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy) as well as Dentistry, Physiotherapy and Nursing students the subject of Anatomy with stress on its clinical correlation. The videos will provide students a free access to premium Anatomy education available at their fingertips. This would benefit the students of newer medical colleges greatly as it takes time for fulfilment of all posts in new Medical colleges.The videos aim at teaching in a way that students grasp quickly and retain better. Each video gives the student optimum to slightly above optimum information for that topic. The videos have innovative ways of drawing which the students are supposed to follow with me to understand, learn and recall Anatomy. I have started releasing 3 videos every week since 15th August 2023. MCQs on each topic (will be useful for students preparing for NEXT exam) are also made available for practice and testing their own grasp of the subject on the website of the VBAnatomy Academy.There has been a good response to the videos with 239 subscribers till today and about 2.7K viewers in last 25 days since we started. Till then I need some funding to sustain. Also as I grown and learn, I comprehend that I can further streamline and better the product using newer technology. This needs me to invest in newer machinery as well as employ a few technology savvy professionals. I also would like to market these videos outside India for wider reach of the education videos.For this I need funding of 30 lakh rupees for the coming 1 year (2 lakh a month plus about 6 lakh more for sudden unexpected expenses)At the end of the year, I would like to analyse the trajectory of progress and reapply if more funding is needed.
