Velocity AeroRenew Private Ltd was incorporated in 2026 by Bipash Paul with a singular purpose — to manufacture Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at commercial scale in India, and in doing so, contribute meaningfully to the decarbonisation of one of the world's hardest-to-abate sectors. Aviation accounts for approximately 2.5% of global CO₂ emissions, yet scalable, certified low-carbon fuel alternatives remain critically undersupplied. Velocity was founded on the conviction that India — with its abundant grain-based ethanol surplus, established distillery infrastructure, and rapidly growing aviation market — is uniquely positioned to become a leading producer of SAF for both domestic and international markets. The company's production model is anchored by a secured feedstock supply from a 60,000 LPD versatile distillery producing ethanol from molasses, rice, jowar, and bajra, supplemented by contracted third-party ethanol supply. Velocity intends to convert this ethanol into certified SAF using a licensed Alcohol-to-Jet (AtJ) technology sourced from a proven international licensor, targeting commercial operations in 2028. Velocity AeroRenew's mission is straightforward: to make SAF accessible, scalable, and commercially viable for Indian airlines and global buyers — accelerating aviation's transition away from conventional ATF, one certified litre at a time.
