In corporate sector - awareness about crisis communication is at nascent stage. Their spokespersons are usually caught unprepared when a crisis hits the organisation, resulting in unintended errors, crisis flaring up and major reputational damage and business loss. Veritas Reputation PR Pvt Ltd, a start-up communications consultancy, is offering comprehensive crisis communication training and preparedness program for companies and their spokespersons. Important points from the program: Innovation: Veritas Reputation Internal Shield (Trademark application filed) There are instances of fake news in social media, sometimes organic, sometimes motivated by corporate and political rivalry. Employees are the best advocates of a company. However, it is difficult to run and monitor an intense communication program with large number of employees. Also, not all are social media savvy; some may not have a voice in society due to their personality type. We are developing software which will identify positive influencers among the employees, train, engage and track them. Improvement - Susceptibility audit: We are offering to undertake susceptibility audit to identify areas where crisis are likely to happen in that company. This will assist in advance preparations and reducing the impact of the crisis. Scalability: Entire process has been registered under copyright act and the name ‘Veritas Reputation Internal Shield’ has been filed for trademark registration. A software will be developed to undertake various processes under VRIS, which will give it scalability and help us roll it as an independent service as well as part of the comprehensive crisis media training module.
