The Company is actively supported by Prof. Prabir Kumar Saha and Prof. Mihir Kumar Purkait, HOD Centre for Environment and from Department Of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. We are into the research of extract of catechins powder an antioxidant used for medicinal purpose from Green Tea leaves using membrane based separation technique. Recently granted Indian patent (no. 291190, Application no. 240/KOL/2010) titled “Production of Catechins from Natural Sources using Membrane Based Technology”, This method comprises of Ø laying the leaves of Camellia sinensis to hot water extraction Ø the extracted plant product is filtered and further submitted to membrane separation process Ø aqueous permeate obtained from membrane cell is concentrated and decaffeinated in order to yield pure and concentrated catechins. Ø Prof. Mihir Kumar Purkait, inventor and owner of the above mentioned patent, is one of the co-investigator of this proposed project
