Vokitoki is a social commerce and messaging communication app , made in India, specifically focusing to promote and support digitalization of small and marginalized local shops and businesses, which under severe threat from global ecommerce marketplaces operating in India. Vokitoki is being built to support Vocal for Local initiative of GoI. It provides a single app for buyers and sellers to create shops easily and shop from all the stores in the neighborhood. It makes searching of an item very easy for users in the neighborhood and avoid waiting for delivery from major ecommerce platforms. Vokitoki has a full fledged messaging feature which allows personal and group chats, audio / video calls and group calls with end to end encryption and also complying with traceability of origin of messages as required by draft social media policy of GoI. It also has feature to stop spreading of harmful messages / videos as such messages can be quarantined. These innovative features differentiate Vokitoki with current apps in the market which are resisting these Govt norms. Vokitoki is a Made in India app, intending to become de-facto standard for messaging for Indian users and avoid huge reliance of foreign apps like Whatsapp, Signal, Telegram etc for messaging.
