Even when affordable generic medicines are available, many consumers continue purchasing expensive branded products because they do not know where to find the corresponding generic option.PillWise addresses this information and accessibility gap by bringing permitted generic-medicine information from sources such as Jan Aushadhi, Dava India, and other verified catalogues into a single, easy-to-use platform. Instead of visiting multiple portals and manually comparing products, a user can search for a familiar branded medicine and view relevant generic options under one roof.PillWise is not an online pharmacy and does not sell or dispense medicines.Nature of innovation and improvementPillWise improves the existing generic-discovery process through a centralized, composition-based medicine matching system. The innovation is not merely the collection of information; it is the conversion of fragmented and technically presented medicine data into standardized, searchable, and consumer-friendly comparisons.Medicine compositions can be written using different spellings, synonyms, abbreviations, units, and ingredient orders.
