Business Idea I was heading the Sourcing and operations department in some startups like Ola cab, Jugnoo Auto and Swiggy, and have onboarded approximate 30K+ blue-collar employees with my team. I personally feel that there is a big lack In this industry in terms of job seeker’s and employer connections and smooth lineups (Especially interview follow-ups) . I realized that we can fulfil employer requirements as well as employee job searching independency with multiple jobs category. I thought to metamorphose as a job provider from a job seeker. We will work in mid-level management and blue-collar industry only. USP- As we will start job browsing portal for the candidate where they can browse a suitable job according to their skill. It will be completely free for the candidate. On the same portal employer can post free job ad as per their requirements. Post candidate application we will initiate a call for candidate and will match his/her skill according to the employer requirements. After candidate evaluation from our end we will send his/her profile to the employer as well as will schedule candidate’s interview with a time frame. It will help to reduce time for both (Candidate and employer). "We will provide a screened lineups to employer not a row data base." Also, we will provide skill development related articles/Video/Tips to the candidate, who will help them to upgrade their skill. Market Research First thing that we did was a thorough market research, we went to at least ten small-big, old-new, professional-not so professional recruitment consultancies in Jaipur as we as north region, this helped us understand how they get business, how they work and what all is required to start and run a job placement firm. Response at most places was “You have such a good job, why do you want to get into the messy business of a recruitment firm?” and, “Probably, you’ve been sacked from your job and you have nothing to do”. So, got a lot of negativity to deal with. However, with all due respect to these people, one thing that we discovered was, that there were not too many qualified, experienced, matured people in manpower recruitment firms in Jaipur. And, thought, this is going to be my competitive advantage. While demand had drastically decreased in April, it has been increasing by 50% each subsequent month as services begin to open up. He highlighted that three major sectors are seeing an uptick — logistics and delivery, facilities and security management, and health staff. Similarly, a report by QuikrJobs showed that the availability of the blue-collar workforce has now significantly increased, with a surge in applications after April. The report stated that the applications for blue-collar jobs on the portal saw a 108% growth in applications in May as compared to April. The availability of jobs had also increased. But presently, according to Quikr, the workforce available far outweighs the number of available jobs. “There was a significant increase in applications per job as compared to pre-COVID for roles like Data Entry/Back Office (115%), Delivery executives (139%), Driver (122%), Teacher (108%), Marketing (179%), Sales (187%),” QuikrJobs said in its report. Business Name In this digital world, having a website is so important for almost every kind of a business. More so, for a recruitment consultancy, management business. In past, people were deciding on a business name, getting it registered, and then getting a domain (website) name booked. Now, the process has changed, people first want to check availability of a suitable domain name, and then get the business registered accordingly. We chose www.hireeasy.info as our domain name, and built a business name around it as Vteam HR Services Pvt Ltd. Getting the business/Clients We started knocking doors of all the businesses in the town as well as all the north region, some gave us business and some didn’t. Later, we stopped visiting clients’ offices and approached them through phone calls on their board lines and Linkedin messages, Personal connections, Social media. Since then, getting clients has never been a big issue at all. We slowly made a niche for ourselves as experts of employee hiring. Lesson: Add as many Linkedin and personal connections as possible, for getting clients as well as the candidates should have maximum relevant connections. Secondly, don’t shy away from calling board lines of businesses to ask for work. Initially, we have started sourcing for Grab, Rapido.Flipkart, Ekolo and Zomato. Sincerely Vteam HR Services Pvt Ltd
