WalnutKash is a Kashmir-based innovation-led startup transforming walnut agro-waste into high-value, eco-friendly products. Kashmir produces 98% of India’s walnuts, yet the shells and husks are often burned or dumped, causing pollution and wasting farmers’ efforts. Our flagship innovations include antimicrobial, non-toxic, and biodegradable dyes extracted from walnut husk for textile industry, and premium-grade activated charcoal from walnut shells for applications in food and pharmaceutical industry. Using what others discard, we cut pollution, create extra income for local farmers, and bring sustainable innovation from Kashmir to the world.
