Surfacetouch is a software collaborated with surfacetouch hardware which both together allows turning any display device, projected screen or Desktop into a touchscreen Project Code name SURFACETOUCH mainly focus on developing efficient and seamless computer interacting devices & provide a single way to interact with computing devices such as computers, projectors, Macs or any surface just using a finger or pointing their finger towards the projected screen means students can touch the projected screen and also air touch the projected screen. Surfacetouch is implemented in such a way that it can be implemented on any existing devices and also upcoming devices without any need for extra cost for hardware. “surfacetouch” is Cross-Platform Software that allows turning any Surface into a touchscreen. The software takes the 3D measurement of the surface from the hardware which is placed over the projector or directed towards the surface which Is to be turned into a touchscreen. The hardware consists of an accelerometer, infrared camera and Bluetooth. An accelerometer is used to trach the exact pointing location in 3D. an infrared camera is combined with an accelerometer to work precisely and efficiently. While hardware is powered with just 3 Volt uses AAA batteries which last long as 30 Days. There is an infrared red emitter which is placed on a finger. Whenever the user touches the surface infrared rays are emitted, these infrared rays are sensed by the infrared sensor which calculates exact X, Y and Z coordinates in the real physical world where we are performing touch. The 16-bit packet is formed and sent to Surface touch Application over the medium of Bluetooth 4.0 at a refresh rate of 10 packets per second.
