WOW Caravans is developing the first fully-electric caravan (Car-E-Van) in the world. India's generally sunny climate, and the completely unexplored potential of caravan tourism in the country, will together allow this innovation to take root and flourish. The main battery pack for locomotion will be charged at grid-connected charging stations. Low voltage applications inside the Car-E-Van, like fans, ACs, TVs, refrigerators, lights, induction cooking etc, will be powered by solar panels mounted on the rooftop. Car-E-Vans will provide eco-friendly stay as well as transport. The Car-E-Van, and its associated caravan parkings and e-charging eco-system, will be a boon for the tourism industry, which has faced a backlash due to over-crowding and consequent pollution at most tourist locations. The Car-E-Van eco-system will open up new tourist locations in remote, unexplored areas like Bastar in Chhattisgarh, tribal belts of Odisha or the North East etc. This will help decongest the currently popular but crowded tourist locations. For the Instagram obsessed generations, it will give the perfect opportunity to make reels in unexplored locations while residing and travelling guilt-free in an eco-friendly option. WOW Caravans is laying the groundwork for a new vertical in India's tourism industry. The entire country is open to scale over the next few years. WOW Caravans aims to begin with a small fleet of ICE caravans, and deploy Car-E-Vans within the next two years. Purely in numbers, even deploying only 5 caravans in each state across India will require 150 Car-E-Vans, and more in the tourist friendly regions.
