At XLEX Batteries, we are designing advanced battery systems for the next generation of energy-intensive technologies—ranging from electric vehicles to emerging platforms like AI data centers, humanoid robots, eVTOLs, drones, and defence systems. These technologies are gaining momentum globally, and while India has many EV-focused startups, very few are actively developing the high-performance battery systems these future sectors will require. We believe this presents a critical opportunity—and we aim to fill that gap.Our team brings global experience and deep technical grounding in the battery domain. The founder has led battery system design for an eVTOL company in the UK and contributed to drone and EV battery pack development at FEV, while also conducting PhD-level research in solid-state batteries at CEA, France. This blend of hands-on engineering and research expertise forms the foundation of XLEX’s approach.We focus on the battery as a complete engineered system. Every element—from thermal management and internal wiring to structural casing and safety logic—is developed in-house with a view to long-term performance, safety, and manufacturability. We do not outsource core pack decisions; we build and iterate them ourselves. Our patented liquid immersion cooling design is a central innovation that allows packs to operate at lower temperatures with minimal fluid volume, significantly improving life cycle, performance, and safety.Alongside immersion cooling, we are developing new intellectual property in CTX (Cell-to-Everything) integration, smart wiring layouts, and composite structural casings. These combined design improvements allow us to achieve over 30 percent higher range or energy output compared to typical packs, while reducing weight by nearly 20 percent. The thermal safety and slower aging characteristics of our pack design are already being validated in our early modular prototypes using 21700 cylindrical cells.We are not trying to do everything—we are focusing on doing one thing extremely well: building energy systems that act as the foundation for future machines. Our packs are application-agnostic and can be adapted for use in multiple high-impact domains.
