Our start up has been established as a spin off from the National Quantum Mission of India. The objective of the start up is to build high-precision hardware for enabling quantum technologies in India such as those for quantum computation, quantum communication and quantum devices. With 5 minimum viable products ready, we are building optical and magneto-optical characterization systems for the quantum materials such as ellipsometers, Raman spectroscopoes, Faraday and Kerr spectroscopes, quantum materials transfer systems etc. Our activities are expanding in the direction of high-precision optomechanics and many more systems for quantum characterization. Motivation: With the recent focus on developing quantum technologies indigenously in India, it is highly important to reduce the imports burden on India. Importing not only slows the technology development down significantly, but also costs many folds when compared to equipment made in India. In fact, >90% (or even more by certain estimates) of the equipment is imported in India for producing most of the high-precision technologies such as in quantum communication (single photon sources and detectors, mechanics, spectrometers, optics etc.), quantum computation (cryostats, electronics, mechanics, optics, vacuum pumps and accessories etc.), quantum metrology and sensing (optics, mechanics and electronics) and quantum materials development and characterization (Raman spectroscope, UV-Vis spectroscope, physical property measurement systems, Chemical Vapour Deposition setups etc.) and so on. There is no company in India for optical characterization of quantum systems such as PL, absorption, transmittance, reflectance spectroscopy, and magneto spectroscopy. This adversely affects the pace of development of quantum technologies in India, which is detrimental to the progress of National Quantum Mission and Atamnirbhar Bharat. Therefore, our start up is expected to fill this gap, as described in the above para.
