www.ykcottons.com Our mission is to make cotton farming a viable economic activity through farmer's education and strengthening the effort for contract farming, automation and mechanisation of post-harvest technology all while increasing the profit of farmers and company by the means of a very unique method called as "BACKWARD LINKAGE". In this method a software has been initiated and cotton collection centres which are operated by farmers are set up for collecting cotton from farmers. These centres are equipped with highly specialised equipments like Moisture meter, Micron air meter, Weighing scale, etc. Due to this the quality of the raw cotton is already identified and gets automatically entered into the software designed for the same. The software calculates the rate for the cotton as per the readings which are updated on a regular basis. Since the collection centres are located in the village, farmers now no longer need to transport their goods to the city. Thus their transportation cost gets decreased which adds up to their profit. In this way we even boycott the brokerage system. Most of the times the brokers mix the poor cotton with the good one for earning some more money. Due to this compromise in the quality the cotton cannot be graded further and hence the Indian cotton does not get the required rate in the international market. By the use of our this very unique method of "BACKWARD LINKAGE" we will not only develop the rural sector but also create a huge demand for the Indian cotton with a good reasonable rate in the international market.
