The startup is developing a low-cost, reliable, and privacy-preserving attendance and workforce presence verification system for Indian small and medium enterprises, with a primary focus on manufacturing, construction, logistics, and other labour-intensive sectors. Attendance systems currently used by Indian SMEs rely heavily on manual registers, shared biometric devices, or cloud-dependent facial recognition solutions. These approaches are prone to proxy attendance, require stable internet connectivity, involve high hardware and licensing costs, and raise concerns around biometric data privacy and misuse. Such limitations reduce adoption and effectiveness, particularly in small factories and operationally constrained environments. The startup’s solution is a face-based attendance kiosk that performs identity verification and liveness detection directly on the device using optimized machine learning models. The system is designed to function in offline or low-connectivity conditions and synchronizes attendance data only when network access is available. On-device processing reduces dependency on external servers and minimizes continuous transmission of sensitive biometric data. The core innovation lies in enabling secure face verification and liveness detection on affordable, commercially available hardware, avoiding the need for expensive proprietary biometric terminals. This significantly lowers deployment and maintenance costs while maintaining accuracy and resistance to spoofing attempts such as photographs or video replays. The system is designed with privacy-by-design principles, supports configurable attendance rules and shift-based access, and can be deployed across multiple locations.
