With recent outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, when sanitization and disinfection is of utmost importance and necessity, we felt the need of developing a product for common man to be useful for every household. Our target product must pass following major criteria. Affordable to everyone on both Initial Product price as well as operation cost per day User friendly to an extent that even KIDS can operate. Effective Sanitization to protect Home, Office and Car, which is a major concern. Sharing the correct information and knowledge on sanitization as subject as there has been a lot of misconceptions and rumours. HOPS- KIT as well as HOPS Tablet is the products as an outcome. Presently available sanitization solutions are way too expensive for the people to adapt its usage on regular basis. Moreover, sanitizers that are available in market use alcohol, benzyl compounds, ammonium, nitrogen based compounds, triclosan, sodium hypochlorite, iodine, all of which are expensive, harmful, yet not so effective on viruses. Alcohol based sanitizers kill bacteria through dehydration, (leaving the skin dry) are not so effective when it comes to destroying viruses, and are inflammable and there have been many news articles and photos about burning cars, skin burns and 3rd degree burns due to the usage of alcohol based sanitizers. Benzyl compounds can adversely affect human neutrophils, ammonium and nitrogen based compounds are mild disinfectants (not so effective). Triclosan widely present in antibacterial soaps targets some bacteria but doesn't generally target viruses yet is very harmful to health. Recent studies have found that it is absorbed in the skin of person using it. A 2006 study in Sweden found triclosan in breast milk at higher concentrations in women who used soap, deodorant or toothpaste containing the chemical. A new study published in PLOS One found that using triclosan hand sanitizer can also increase skin's absorption of bisephenol A (BPA), a chemical used in production of all hard plastics, including containers used to store food and beverages. It imitates our hormones in a way that disrupts body's natural endocrine system. Higher amounts of BPA can lead to hormone disorders, heart disease, cancer, infertility and diabetes. Infact most commonly used sanitizers chemicals that enhance the penetration of lipophilic compounds into the skin like BPA. Sodium hypochlorite is harmful to tissues and iodine is extremely toxic. We opt to bring out a solution that has very less expense yet is more effective. As our sanitization method works through gaseous disinfection, and requires very low concentration of disinfectant, it is neither expensive nor harmful to health.
