BetterTalk app aims to make professional mental healthcare services accessible, affordable, and convenient for anyone, anytime and anywhere. Over 150 million people in India suffer from mental health issues and need professional help, but due to the stigma in the society and lack of availability of therapists, it is impossible for someone to take professional help when they need it. In technical terms, we are a marketplace for therapists where we list them on our app with their details like profile photo, qualifications, experience, etc which makes the user know basic details about the therapist and thus makes them feel comfortable. We have 3 ways of communication that are present in-app which are chat, audio, and video call, the user can choose which mode of communication they want to talk to the therapist. We also have the cheapest rate of a therapy session, which is possible since we remove the basics costs of a physical space for therapists, we have therapists from smaller cities and towns where living expenses are lower thus they charge low fees. We are able to provide a 45mins therapy session for rupees 500 only and once a user is satisfied with the therapist they can also take a subscription which will provide them 1 session every 15 days and unlimited texting/chat with the therapists for 30days, this will be for rupees 2000 per month.
