Bluebear Technology under the brand name of Propelld is a technology platform which enables education financing of students by bringing together Financial Players (NBFCs) and Institutes providing courses. Currently we are focused on the supplementary education market which includes job focused professional skill/certification providers (Edureka, Upgrad, Jigsaw, etc), exam preparation/coaching (JEE, Medical, Banking, IAS, GRE/GMAT/CAT, etc.), edtech companies (eg: Byju, Toppr, Whitehat Junior, etc). We are attempting to make education financing easily accessible for the masses. Currently, the domestic education financing market is highly under penetrated (only 5-10% of the total customer spend). This has been driven by low interest of financial players in this sector due to high NPA levels (8-10%) and low interest rate earning. Our solution comprises of 3 parts: a) Designing custom loan products for Institutes to address the market segment they are catering to while ensuring adequate risk sharing between the financial player and the Institute b) Loan sourcing systems at an Institute level to enable the sales team at Institutes to act as loan sourcing agents. This ensures that low income people from smaller cities, towns and villages who may have problem applying for loans can easily do so through institute’s help c) Bringing multiple NBFCs on board the platform to cater to a wide range of customers and automating their decision making and disbursal process to ensure a complete online journey for the Customer Our product achieves the following 3 objectives: - Increase accessibility of education finance to a wide range of customers - Ensure high conversion rates for institutes providing courses for skilling, jobs, etc - Ensure low NPA numbers for NBFCs
