Worlds 65% energy is consumed by Motors. The EV revolution calls for further improvement of motors which can be more efficient, cheaper and easier to produce. We are building a motor which is 40% cheaper, Rare Earth Metal Free (No Magnets), and is easy to produce as compared to a popular BLDC motor. Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) and Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SyRM) date back to the year 1838, however there was no significant development in this technology for the want of faster and accurate switching mechanism. This need has now been bridged by availability of advanced electronics in the last few decades. SRM / SyRM motors do not use Permanent Magnates hence are much cheaper than the Permanent Magnet motors such as the prevalent Brushless DC motors (BLDC). This gives India and rest of world independence from Magnetic Materials such as Neodymium, which is a rare earth metal and cause huge amount of loss by way of import. We are further changing the paradigm with speciality in Axial Flux motors, which is much more compact (7 times smaller), lighter and cheaper than the Radial Flux Motor. Also, these are know to perform best for regenerative braking. Making these motors much more suitable for multiple applications. A 250 Watt eBicycle motor which can be retrofitted into any Bicycle will address over 80 Million Bicycles on Indian roads. The same motor will also find variable speed application such as a Washing Machine or a Mixer Grinder. We will be building other capacities of Motors such 2.5 KW motor for eRickshaw, 4.5 Kw motor for eAuto in next one year.
