As a country, India has negligible facilities for Bone Banking available to operating surgeons to process and store these wasted bone pieces in facilities equipped to Clean, process and freeze dry these bone material and make them available when needed in multiple corrective orthopedic and Trauma procedures to be used as material to facilitate new Bone formation, serve as a scaffold for osteoconduction, fill cavities in patient’s bone or even replace deceased or damaged bone. It has widest application in providing structural support or correcting deformities which is prevalent on large scale in the country.
