Big-data has gotten bigger than before. Massive data sets are being generated from a variety of sources at rapid rates. Even though companies have the ability to capture data, much of this goes unutilized. The challenge that most businesses face is, how best to derive “insights” on data collected and act upon it. In such a scenario, an insight platform (Ip-a-a-S) would offer various advantages to companies by deriving much needed value from data. The force driving Ip-a-a-S today is the combination of technology advancements, Big-data explosion and the limitation in terms of resources like manpower and cost involved in set up of infrastructure required for the purpose. We intend to develop an insight platform which would play the role of a Business Consultant and advise the users on what action needs to be taken given a business environment.
