Purpose - Dawon Auto was established with the purpose to reduce the number of accidents that happen while overtaking and facilitating a smooth overtaking experience for truck drivers with minimizing the risk.Statistics - According to “Accidental Deaths & Suicides in India 2020 & 2021” published by the National Crime Records Bureau Ministry of Home Affairs. Overtaking is the 2nd major cause of road accident deaths.History of the CompanyBack in 2018, while traveling through the ghats of western Maharashtra. Chinmay Kadam one of the co-founders of the company, observed the bus driver was having difficulty judging whether there is a vehicle ahead of other heavy vehicles blocking its vision. He contemplated this problem with his brother Tanay Kadam, and start the journey of Dawon Auto.Between 2019 - 2020, he outsourced the product prototyping to a local engineer in Mumbai. They brainstormed together, but the resultant product was not satisfying the vision he had for the product. As an entrepreneur is expected to do he ended up creating a new version entirely from scrap on his own. Coming from a non-technical background, he had to do a lot of research of his own and get advice from others in the field to create a working prototype of the product.Between 2021 - 2022, the product was complete and in a viable condition to be patented. Both Tanay & Chinmay started the patent-filing process, and after a little to and fro from the patent office the patent was granted on 10th May 2022. After this, an LLP was formed between Tanay & Chinmay under the name Dawon Auto.That's the brief history of the company till now.......
