Modular construction was a proven technology and success story in foreign countries. When big construction companies tried to apply that in India it failed (even though it was a media success). Ordinary people were not ready to adopt to this technology. But the efficiency of Modular construction can be used in Business to Business. Modulus Housing (is our brand name) is a student run startup with Prof. Ashwin Mahalingam and Prof. Arul Jayachandran on advisory board. Modulus envisions to solve the problems spread across different sectors by designing innovative temporary structures which caters to their requirements. Foldable cabin is a flagship product from the House of Modulus using which you can setup a house anywhere anytime in just 45 minutes. These cabins can be used as sites offices, meeting rooms, store rooms, labor camps, etc. It reduces the setting up time which directly reduces the project time and also the life cycle cost can be decreased which helps in the construction company's growth and profitability. Modulus has a strong R&D team which is working on improving the current model and also working on models to cater to other markets like Event management where shelters have to be built for thousands in just few days. Our R&D team is doing on ground research by speaking with several retired army people as well. The team and vision of Modulus is strong to change the way structures are being built.
