Dreamchip Electronics is a fabless-semiconductor company founded to cater to the large and growing need for Smart Information Devices [SIDs] such as tablets, wearables and other electronic gadgets powered by synthetic processor technologies. Dreamchip has identified Education as a key market segment for the launch of Smart Information Device and is currently working on a Digital School Bag project.. Dreamchip has successfully demonstrated an application kernel working on a Synthetic 32-bit processor integrated with a simple NoC and peripheral controllers such as display, micro-graphic engine and DRAM Controller all on a low cost Spartan 3 FPGA ! Dreamchip is now working on the physical dSb prototypes. Dreamchip has already received a customer order from an Education Service Providers for 10,000 units of Digital School Bag. Dreamchip expects to significantly benefit from the large domestic market besides the Government of India's Digital India initiative.
