• In India, aquaculture is dominated by the pond-based farming systems. • Environmental concerns of the aquaculture are well known since 90s. • Indian Coastal Aquaculture is suffering due to issues like low productivity, bio-security, food safety, traceability and trade issues. • Hence the Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) are promoted in India as well as globally. • Government of India, in its Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) schemes, RAS is given more importance as an initiative for achieving SDG in fisheries sector. • Existing RAS systems are based on the biological filtration system. • Biofilter based RAS systems are having its own challenges in operation. • Our product EC4RAS is a modular, scalable, IOT enabled, real time control & monitoring, nonhazardous, nonmicrobial, nonintrusive, easy to maintain, continuous, relocatable electrochemical based system with consistent increased production by 30% with low land, water and carbon footprint. • Globally only three companies are producing EC based RAS.
