In their own words
Empowerji is mainly inspired by first hand experiences from people close to me. The convenience that technology brings is undeniable, but I observed that Senior citizens shied away from using it. For most of the Senior population, using apps, sites and devices does not come naturally. Busy children like myself, don’t have the time to patiently teach their Parents. And because of this, though there are easier tech alternatives to doing things, Seniors continue to do things the old tedious way. I thought that if there was someone to simplify technology for Seniors, it may not be as daunting for them to adopt it in their daily life. The Empowerji App is a one-of-a-kind multi-lingual technology learning app for Seniors. The app is currently available in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. It is available for download in the IOS and Android app stores. Currently the App is free and soon we will launch paid services. Seniors can learn how to use Mobile Apps, Sites and Devices from our short learning videos that simplify steps. For example, How to make a whatsapp group, How to pay your bills online, etc. The videos are easy to grasp because they have audio, subtitles and visuals of the said application. On every screen there is voice guidance option explaining what the user can do with the screen and also a video demo of how to use the Empowerji App.
