The Sanitation Ranking in Swachh Bharat Mission of all Local Bodies in J&K UT is poor including Srinagar Municipal Corporation. In order to improve Sanitation Ranking of these Urban Local Bodies particularly of Srinagar City our Company is going to train the Sanitation staff for appropriate source segregation and efficient collection and transportation of Solid Waste in a scientific manner as per SWM Rules,2016.Our Company will not only impart training to all types of staff but will adopt some areas of Srinagar City for source segregation and collection of Solid Waste in Srinagar City. To begin our Company is going to collect solid waste from bulk generators like Gardens Parks, Lakes Conservation and Management Authority , some prominent Hotels and restaurants and initially from a few SMC Wards in a segregated manner. The Non-Bio-Degradable Waste will be sorted at source and taken to Material Recovery Unit to be installed at a designated spot. Whereas, Bio-Degradable Waste will be sorted for composting at collection point or Ward Level as per availability of space. Our model will be a scientific and in accordance with the SWM Rules which will be utilized for other Municipalities in the J&K State. Most of revenue will be recovered from the processing of non-bio-degradable solid Waste at our Material Recovery Unit and portion of sale proceeding of Compost to be manufactured at designated places.
