Jawad Hills Organic Farmers Producer Company has been promoted with support of NABARD in Jawad hills and has been functional since 2013. Further, this producer organization has the potential to capitalize on the available market opportunities and thereby facilitate a better income to the farmers and producers in Jawad Hills. The most potential avenues that Jawad hills have include the produce of the locality including samai, ragi, tamarind, and honey among others. One of the common bottle necks in marketing of these produce is basic processing and value addition as expected by the market. This particular intervention of establishing a common facility center would address this gap and would support the Farmers Producer Organization in further marketing the tribal produce and facilitate a better income among the tribes of Jawad Hills.
