Profile of Our Establishment 1. HISTORY OF OUR ESTABLISHMENT I. N.Kesavaram was working as Addl.Superintendent of police (F.P) in Tamil Nadu Police and attained my superannuation during, 2002. Ever since I retired from service after serving 38 Years of service, I was thinking of involve myself to the benefit of police force, particularly in the detection and Investigation of crimes. My long service in the Investigation field gave me an added advantage and this drove me to launch a firm viz “MARUTHI SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION PRODUCTS”. My wife K.Manjula is the Proprietrix. Since there was no reputed firms’ having capacity to manufacture and supply of Investigation equipments in India, I started this establishment during 2004, with our main aim to supply the most modern equipments and products with International standard and quality at a lesser cost. Due to our perceptible improvement in the quality of products and service, on date, we have a long list of customers from almost all states in India. The improvement in the quality of our products helps the crime force in significant ways to do their scientific investigation more efficiently and quickly. Not surprisingly, our establishment has become a leading dealer in India because of realistic trust and confidence. 2. YEAR OF START OF OPERATION: We started our establishment during 2004. 3. No of OUTLETS: We do not have any other outlets elsewhere. Our establishment functions only from Chennai. 4. STAFF SIZE: We have following staff: (i) Director-Admin ---- 1No (ii) Director –Operations—1No (iii) Assistant Manager and Administration---1No (iv) Helper-----1No 5. NATURE OF PRODUCTS/ SERVICES OFFERED: We deal and supply various kinds of the following equipments and products for Scientific Investigation purpose. Grey, White, Pink, Black, Manganese-di-oxide, lamp Black (i) Various Kinds of Magnetic Finger Print Developing Chemicals viz Grey, White, Pink, Black, Manganese-di-oxide, lamp Black (j) Various kinds of Magnetic and non- magnetic Fluorescent chemicals viz Green, Red, Orange and Yellow. (k) Metallic Chemical powders viz silver, Gold, Copper powder (l) Safety and Secure Items ( Face Mask, Head Cover, Body Suit, Cotton Gloves, Latex Gloves) (m) Finger Print Developing Brush Viz Feather brush, Camel hair Brush, Fibre glass brush, Marabou Brush; Ostrich feather Brush, Magna Brush. (n) Various Magnifiers with varying magnification (o) Transparent, White and Black thick film sheet for lifting crime scene finger print. (p) Automizer with blower for spraying chemical F.P. Powders (q) Narcotic Detection Kit (r) Explosive Detection Kit (s) Blood test Kit (t) Semen Detection Kit. (u) Bullet Hole Testing Kit (v) Fire Arm Residue Kit (w) Rapid Test Kit Etc (2) We offer our service mainly to various units functioning in the police Department Viz: police stations, Finger Print Bureau, Forensic Science laboratories, Crime Branch, Intelligence Wing, Counter- feit wing, Economic offence Wing, Police Training College, National Police Academy, Further various University and colleges which offer M.sc in forensic science and diploma in forensic science are also utilising our service to procure various Investigation Kits to get practical training to their students. 6. UNIQUE SALES PROPOSITION: Our products are unique and therefore it is utilised for Investigation purpose. These products are not readily and easily available in the open market. Therefore there is no competition from other dealers. This is an added advantage for our sales promotion and proposition. We are also distributor with TRI-TECH FORENSIC, USA Company in INDIA who is supplying Finger Print and Forensic materials all over the globe for more than 30Years and we also having distributorship in India from “SAFARILAND”, USA. LIGHTNING POWDERS, USA. FORENSICS SOURCE, USA, WOLTER-VOGEL, AUSTRIA 7. FUTURE PLAN Since we are supplying our products through out India and we used to get purchase orders from various places outside Tamilnadu especially from Haryana, Punjab, New Delhi, Gujarat, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Jaipur, etc, we are therefore thinking of opening our out-lets in New Delhi, Bombay and in Hyderabad in future
