F5 aims to build India's first aggregated network of branded refreshment stores, called F5 Stores, by partnering with existing refreshment vendors. Tea is a critical component of the refreshment ecosystem as it captures 79% of the non-beverage market. Around 80 percent of this daily consumption is serviced by local tea vendors who fail to deliver the requisite hygiene and standardization, while corporate consumption happens through vending machines and cafés which have taste and price issues respectively. F5 has developed a unique partnership model in order to organize this highly fragmented market. As per this model, it has customers on one side who prefer its offerings due to hygiene, price, and taste while on the other side, it has mini refreshment shops that prepare these refreshments and act as supply points. Such a partnership gives these shops an opportunity to currently earn as much as 25% higher. With such value proposition, F5 aims to on-board these traditional refreshment merchants and help them in transforming their business using better processes, extended business support, and technology; thereby, removing major inefficiencies and making them future-ready formats of refreshments with an enormous potential for value addition.
