Lead by Design envisions that young people will unlock their creative potential to build an equitable, resilient and thriving future with all. We apply research based design in building products and services that enable schools and educators to foster creativity and innovation. 2 out of 3 kids in primary school today cannot read and write a simple sentence and rote learning based education is failing them. Education is supposed to inspire young people to equip them to work, to earn a living, and to help solve the great challenges in their villages, their country, and the world. The problem is, mainstream public education in India today stifles creativity and fails to prepare young people for work or life. Lead by Design’s mission is to see that all children get a chance to go through education that is actively engaging, meaningful, suits the 21st century and makes them lifelong learners. By working with NGOs and schools of diverse backgrounds, LBD develops products such as the i2i box that enables children to unlock their creativity and services such as LET’S TAKE ACTION that empower children to utilize their creativity to build local solutions for global challenges.
