MATCHMAKER AUTOMOTIVE SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED
South Delhi, Delhi
In their own words
Important from BS III emission norms to BS IV & BS VI in a spam of 3 years, during which period commercial vehicles (CVs) have been permitted to carry 20-25% extra Axle Load and 15-20 years old CV are to be scrapped if they don’t meet emission norm and if they do can be on road upto 20 years or if upgraded to meet current qualifying criteria can ply as used Trucks/CVs. Engines and Transmission have undergone substantial improvements setting new standards, technologies and changing the operating standards for CVs on warranties cost of operation and Turnaround time. Engine & Transmission are mated/integrated via the clutch, a friction high wear component, currently not synchronised with the Torque characteristics of the Engine or the Torque requirement according to the gear or axle ratios, wheel/tyre size etc to meet the ultimate power requirement on wheels for different loads, terrains and speed for same duty cycles or class of CVs. The current complicated situation as explained in 1st para was so far not been replicated anywhere else and on top, changeover from fossil fuels to clean fuels CNG, Hydrogen or hybrids, Biofuels with an eye on flexi-fuels, if at all, makes it a challenge not even imaged in any other country. Impact of changeover from Diesel (BS II) to CNG w/o appropriate matching design of Clutch, Clutch life drastically reduced to mere 3 days. Ripples have already shown even in the initial trail periods resulting in almost all truckmakers resorting to changes (only/mostly in clutch disc) in basic adopted designs. Clutch wear or failure warrants essential change by keeping the CV idle for atleast 8-10 hours if servicing facilities and replacement units are readily available. This project aims at optimising the clutch design time tunned to suit Engine & Transmission characteristics of each model and to provide adequate torque at wheels for target loads in/at different terrains and speeds at least until the announced service Interval for the gearbox. Indian innovations and psyche for ‘Value of Money’ and optimal use till limits of end of life have shown up in improved load carrying capability and steady torque at a range of low RPMs to achieve fuel economy- Clutch has valueable supplemented role to make it happen and ensure fuller combustion w/o loss of torque jerk free & with minimal NVH for comfort of driver and protection of Cargo. Applicant has done such exercises for DTC, BEST, MTC and US CL 7 & 8 Heavy Trucks Where I series clutches outperformed hands down a decade old monopolist 20 B $ MNC. Extensive experience and knowledge base gained as a standalone clutch manufacture and Brand Ambassador to USA (Min of Commerce). Applicant wants to exploit commercialization of Exclusive Technology developed to double life of clutch across the brand with support of DST labs NCL, CGCRI, ARCI & IIT (D) – changing the face of transport business. We will need support from Science Technology. Truckxtra aims to provide xtra features for all stakeholder an components of Truck Powertrain & Driveline Power from Engine doesn’t leapfrog to Transmission or wheels.
