Our story began in 2010 when our founder starting his career as a Mountain Guide & Expedition guide to pursue a lifelong interest in the outdoors and set up an adventure guiding company. Since then, our passion for hiking trips and exploring the outdoors has developed Mountain Intelligence Treks into the sophisticated and smooth running operation it is today, with incredible trips all over the Ladakh Region. Mountain Intelligence was created in 2015, based on six years' experience guiding and leading adventure tours and expeditions throughout Ladakh and Kashmir. Today in Ladakh and across India there are hundreds of agencies offering tour packages and treks. We are different. We have been there, every step of the way. We are local. We know every detail of every route. Cut out the middlemen, benefit from our deep local knowledge and plan your adventure with us, for memories that will last a lifetime! What makes Mountain Intelligence Treks so special? We believe that scenery needs to be experienced, not seen through a car/bus window. So we’ll take you to our mountains, village, monasteries, lakes, glaciers and nomadic land – and we’ll walk, cycle and paddle through them. You don’t have to be an athlete to come on one of our trips, but you need to be interested in experiencing Northern India incredible scenery in an active manner! We take everyday people, who may or may not have a great deal of experience in the outdoors, to the most scenic and rewarding parts of Northern India. Clients on a typical trip will have a range of experience, from folks who have spent a couple of days in the Himalyas in their lives, to those who spend most weekends in the Mountains. We have happy clients all over the world who have taken our trips and who’d love to tell you all about it! We are a small company, so we have the focus and flexibility to work with you personally. We offer a variety of trips and every trip can be customized to suit. One of the biggest appeals of travelling with us is that we make sure you have lots of flexibility and plenty of options everywhere you go. We do some activities as a group, but generally there are many opportunities for you to head out and explore on your own as well. If you have a particular interest, please let us know. You’ll be surprised how well we can arrange things to suit your interests. We emphasize variety and make sure you will experience a wide range of activities and that you see as much of Northern India as possible, without rushing. We try to minimize time on the road – the rest of the time we are enjoying all the Northern Region of Himalayas has to offer. Most important of all, our emphasis is on exceeding your expectations. We’ve worked hard to get where we are, and we intend to keep providing the most amazing Northern India vacation packages! It’s that simple.
