eduMIC labs(MIC for Model Integrated Classroom) is an EdTech startup focused on improving learning outcomes by transforming classrooms into collaborative, feedback-driven learning environments. By converting peer interactions into a structured and scalable assessment system, the startup addresses a critical gap in education—limited individual feedback in large classrooms. eduMIC enables students to actively participate in the learning process through guided peer assessment, while providing teachers with insights into student understanding and learning gaps based on the output of the peer assessment The platform integrates pedagogy, process design, and technology to create continuous feedback loops within the classroom. This shifts learning from a one-directional model to a multi-directional system, where students learn by evaluating peers, reflecting on feedback, and learning from remedial instruction by the teacher. eduMIC operates through a blended delivery model that combines classroom implementation and personalized learning support. By leveraging data generated through peer assessment, the platform enables targeted interventions, providing benefits similar to those of one-to-one tutoring. Designed as a low-cost, infrastructure-light solution, eduMIC can be deployed across diverse educational settings, including schools, making it scalable and accessible. The solution is grounded in ongoing research at IIT Bombay and has been developed through extensive field engagement with students and teachers. eduMIC aims to build a scalable system that enhances student engagement, improves conceptual understanding, and supports teachers in delivering more effective learning experiences.
