Malnutrition is a severe health and social concern in India. A 2017 survey shows that 73 percent of Indians are deficient in protein while above 90 percent are unaware of the daily requirement of protein. Another survey shows that micronutrient deficiency is severe in India the most prevalent micronutrient deficiency was VDD (61 %), followed by iron (54 %), vitamin B12 deficiency (53 %), folic acid (37 %), and IDD 17 %. The prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency ranged from 40% to 99%, with most of the studies reporting a prevalence of 80%–90%. It was prevalent in all age groups and high-risk groups alike. With the consequences of Vitamin D deficiency, namely, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and tuberculosis being explored, we can imagine the burden it would cause in our country. The aim of our company is to deal with malnutrition by enrichment of eggs. Eggs are cheap, easily available, regularly consumed, and are one of the most widely consumed sources of Protein and Vitamin D. One average egg contains about 40 IU of Vitamin D. Which is approximately 10 percent of the required daily value of 400 IU. If Vitamin D content in an egg can be increased, it has the potential to cure Vitamin D deficiency to a large extent. One of our achievements is the enrichment of Vitamin D in eggs. With our research and development, we are able to increase Vitamin D up to 10 times which is equal to 100 percent of the Required Daily Value. We are researching to increase Vitamin E, A content in eggs and to decrease the cholesterol of eggs. Eggs are high in cholesterol hence many people avoid eggs due to its high cholesterol content. Our future research and development include micronutrients enrichment of mushrooms. Eat healthy and stay healthy is our vision. Proving healthy and nutrients rich food is our motto.
