"The unorganised nature of the legal industry in India In India we find that the legal industry is still largely unorganised and faces severe credibility risk by the lack of trustable content on the laws of India freely available to the public. It is becoming increasingly difficult on a daily basis as the Indian Judiciary is burdened with unimaginable loads of cases which are pending in addition to the ones newly being instituted. It is also financially burdensome to the common man to wait for a long time before he or she gets the justice that they deserve. Lawyers being stereotyped and the issue not clearly analysed Unfortunately, lawyers have been constantly criticised for not doing their job well and for delaying the process of justice which is not always true. It is high time we reassess our gameplan and to chart a new path in solving the problem of case pendency and lack of credible legal information before decision making on going ahead to file a case. Meritorious cases don’t get the time they deserve It is clear and evident that meritorious cases that need the immediate attention of the Honourable courts are being delayed due to cases filed for flimsy, superfluous and baseless reasons. The time of the courts are to be used in the most productive way possible to help in the rendering of justice and the situation at the ground level is quite the opposite. Tech is the way forward even in the legal industry Nowadays the public are becoming more tech friendly and are resorting to viewing online content for many purposes including but not limited to purchase of goods and services based on information available through reviews. The trend has now caught up with even medical and legal opinions being given online. It is imperative at such a global age to ensure free availability of simple and understandable user content in the field of law to be given to the public seeking it. Confusion due to availability of multiple contents from unqualified professionals and unverified sources The main issue that is troubling the public is the availability of multiple contents that give divergent opinions that confuse the public. Also, the language of the law is difficult to understand for the common man. It is important to make the legal knowledge understandable and accessible. In the effort to help the common public we are burdened to research thousands of court judgements to ensure the correctness of the data being communicated as the prevailing law. Citizens are ignorant of the law and are not making an effort but merely blaming it on authorities It is important to know that ignorance of law is not an excuse. It is the moral responsibility and duty of every citizen to know the law and see if they are following it or if they have any legal remedy if they become victims of any offense punishable under law. Every Act passed in the parliament though being released in the official gazette is not being widely promoted. The TV and news channels and print media convey important points in such new laws enacted but it is the duty of the legal community to tell the public the practical nuances involved. Justice delayed is justice denied The redressal of grievances takes so long that the common man is no longer able to enjoy justice when he or she finally gets it. It is unfortunate that the judiciary has still not yet employed a hybrid model (both traditional hearing and online hearing) to ensure the speedy redressal of grievances. Also, in times like the corona pandemic because the courts were closed the number of legal cases have ballooned and become a bigger issue now. It is high time we find a solution to such a problem without further delay."
