We are an social e commerce aggregator facilitating and helping local downtrodden footwear artisans of Agra to produce good quality designer products at extremely cheap costs and sell them online through various online portals and our own website shoegaro.com . These artisans are involved in footwear manufacturing through generations and the skills are passed on through generations but they lack support for modernizing their methods and reaching right customers due lack of education and financial constraints. So we train them in modern skills and help them identify latest trends and also help them reach the right customer using online mode through our social program Samanaantar. We use the model of Self Help Groups where we consider one family of an artisan as one SHG because these artisans did not employ any kind of labor from outside because it is a trend here that whole family is trained in some or the other process of shoe making whether male member or female member everyone is trained in some or the other skill. So we give assistance to these families in procuring raw material training and then in end buying there footwear. This whole process reduces the of produce very drastically and helps in selling these products at competitive prices online. According to rough estimates there are around 10000 very small units run by these artisans and their families and these artisans can produce quality and designer footwear for masses at lowest costs which no one can offer and thus presents a huge opportunity for scaling up the handmade footwear market. By partnering with these artisans by sharing latest trends and technology with them and getting most competitive products to sell, a win-win situation for both society and the business. Through Samanaantar initiative we are combining our online marketing skills and hardcore shoe manufacturing skills to create a profitable social business enterprise
