The facility will adopt advanced ripening technology using controlled temperature, humidity, and ethylene, ensuring uniform, safe, and carbide-free ripening of bananas. This will enhance fruit quality, improve food safety standards, and significantly reduce post-harvest losses. In addition to banana ripening, the facility will offer controlled storage solutions for commodities such as apples, turmeric, chilli, coriander, and dry fruits, thereby preserving quality and extending shelf life. The proposed project is in line with the Government of India’s cold chain development initiatives and is assessed to be technically feasible and economically viable.
