Sandha Energy Innovations LLP (SEI) is a sustainability-focused company that was created with the aim of empowering small rural communities and businesses in India. SEI has developed a unique solution to the problems posed by the reliance on non-renewable energy sources and unpredictable weather patterns that can affect traditional renewable energy sources. SEI has created India's first indigenous spring windup generator, which is a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution to the energy needs of small communities and businesses. SEI's spring windup generator is a mechanical device that uses the energy stored in a wound-up spring to generate electrical power. The spring is wound up by hand or through some other mechanical means and when the spring is released, it rotates a shaft connected to a generator, which converts the mechanical energy of the rotating shaft into electrical energy. The spring windup generator is constructed of steel, which is easily recyclable and readily available in India, making it both cost-effective and proudly made in India. SEI's solution offers a variety of winding options for the springs inside the generator, including hand cranking, a rope pulley mechanism, or a bicycle pedal mechanism. The built-in automatic voltage and current control systems allow for electricity production based on output, eliminating the need for chemical battery storage. The ability to assemble and disassemble the spring windup generator also makes it useful in disaster relief efforts and remote locations. SEI is dedicated to empowering rural communities and small to medium-sized businesses by providing them with a reliable source of electrical energy. With the successful testing of its first spring windup generator, capable of generating up to 500 Watts for 4-5 hours, SEI is taking important steps towards energy independence in India and establishing itself as a leader in sustainable energy generation.
