Soil Steps is an agro-technology startup dedicated to developing compact, affordable, and practical agricultural machinery designed specifically for small and marginal farmers. Guided by the principle “Soil to Stars | உழந்தும் உழவே தலை”, the startup focuses on creating micro agricultural devices that make modern technology accessible even to farmers with very small land holdings. In today’s agriculture, most machines are built for large farms and high-cost operations, leaving small farmers with very limited options. Soil Steps was founded to solve this gap by designing compact, low-cost, and multi-purpose machines that can work efficiently in narrow fields, wet lands, and small farming environments. The startup believes that innovation should begin from the soil level and grow step by step towards advanced engineering solutions. By combining agriculture, mechanical engineering, and student-driven research, Soil Steps aims to build real-world technology that directly benefits farmers. Soil Steps is not only building machines, but also building a new approach to agricultural innovation where technology is simple, affordable, and usable for everyone.
