In their own words
Srirangam Agroproducts Private Limited (SAFPL), founded in 2021, by a small farmer, is located in a village called Madukkur in Thanjavur district. It has the mission to provide post- harvest value addition to agri-commodities and enhance the lives of small farmers by direct procurement of the commodities from them.Currently it is in the B2C business of edible oil in which SAFPL procures groundnut and sesame seeds directly from the farmers and manufacture edible oil. Similarly, we procure coconut directly from farmers and convert it into copra and then sell it to government agencies. We are currently working on the R&D of plant protein for human consumption and in this mission, we are working on the extraction of protein isolates from oilcakes, a byproduct of edible oil.
