We’ve been told since we were kinds that Learning is the key to success & performance & we’ve always worked hard in gaining all knowledge that we could from family, friends, school & college, However once we reach the corporate life we realise that the knowledge gained from all these learning over the year is not enough & we start learning again, what ever is needed by our organization thru the training sessions organized across our various job levels. Though this is the need of the hour it’s also the cause of a few challenge’s:- Every team has an challenge of releasing manpower for these trainings from time to time. People unable to complete the training find it difficult to keep their performance up to expectations This has an adverse effect on their performance appraisal, leading to employee dissatisfaction Employees when released for these training sessions has a hit on the planned operational manpower for those days Then there are secondary challenge’s: Operations is unable to release candidates for trainings and when the performance dips internal conflict within 2 departments start There is no way to gauge the training effectiveness against operational performance, as the LMS & PMS do not communicate with each other This also creates a challenge in answering the all important question which is “ROI”, LnD has frequently had a challenging time in answering the all important question “What is the ROI of this training session?” These challenges become a massive ask for any LnD team in any organization & though multiple systems are available to help the team, there still is dependency on a lot of human element to get the right data, as there is always a threat of data manipulation in a non automated environment.
