The project is guided by the guidelines and strategies as stated in the Niti Ayog Roadmap for Access to Clean cooking Energy in India. The project guiding strategies are, 1. Consideration of alternative fuels to eliminate negative effects on health 2. Sustainable use of fuel/technology 3. Ease of accessibility of products for early transition and adaptation 4.The approach is based upon building a livelihood ecosystem The company is a social enterprise catering to the ease of accessibility of energy-efficient livelihood products. The company affirms that its projects are based on its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals of 1. Good health and well being 2. Affordable and clean energy 3. Sustainable cities and communities As mentioned above-stated the guiding principles of Niti Ayog and Sustainable Development Goals, the project is developed to be gender-inclusive, suitable for lower-income groups, increased energy access, ease of use, and affordability. The product can be a potential game-changer as directed heat in tune with higher heat utilization for work done will ensure low indoor air pollution. The product runs on electricity which can be generated by the solar panels and stored in batteries for 24 hours of operation. Since it uses directed to heat the energy consumption is one fourth when compared to readily available technologies. The innovative features of the products are, 1.Design: a. The product is designed to maximize the heat transfer area between the heat source and cooking vessel b. The product is designed to run completely by electricity irrespective of the power source. c. The product is designed to ensure that maximum heat is captured by the vessel. d. The product is designed to ensure a constant flow of heat with minimal loss of 3% ~5% of total heat to the surroundings. e. The product is designed to reduce the discomfort of technology adaptation and uptake by resembling to the existing models. 2. Materials a. The product uses the materials that are used based on their thermal conductivity and food degradability b. The materials are selected based on ease of availability and customer familiarity 3.Operation a. The product uses less power around (700 W) when compared to an induction stove. b. Low maintenance or negligible maintenance c. No dials no complicated controls. Simple ON/OFF mechanisms d. The stove generates heat that is required for each type of cooking, that is boiling, frying and roti making without any fuss 3.Operation and Use: a. The source of energy is the single-phase AC electric power b. The electric power can be stored in a battery, which is widely available in the market. c. The cookstove can be powered by renewable energy sources like solar panels, wind energy etc. d. The cookstove is highly energy efficient when compared to other available cookstoves. e. The cookstove is extremely customer-friendly as it is very simple to operate, Only switch ON/OFF no dials no other complications. f. The operating temperature used in the cookstove is from 40 Degree Celsius to 200 Degree Celsius, the cooking temperature for most of the cooking style like boiling, frying and roti making.
