Deep understanding of the Earth system, being able to process the millions of pieces of data and combining that with cutting edge prediction technology to derive relevant information and then finally deliver that to clients through innovative software interfaces is what makes our solution complete and unique. We use the latest technologies in high performance computing, data handling and visualization to combine this complex real time assessment with cutting edge prediction technology to create accurate monitoring, forecast, and analysis products. Unlike most others, we run our own in-house weather/ocean models both globally and locally. This allows us to use data from the site of interest to be ingested by the weather model to provide a better forecast for that region. Other forecasting companies typically take a forecast provided by the government weather centers and use that as the base to make their projections. The use of in-house models enables us to provide a forecast and an associated probability so that the forecast information is more useable. We believe technology is only as powerful as it is accessible. At Tendral, we deliver superior service by ensuring accessibility of information across all major devices like PCs, tablets, and mobile phones. Our web-based software is supported by our hardware infrastructure housed in a premier data center, ensuring vital information is always available to decision makers, even during storms and other bouts of inclement weather.
