INTRODUCTION : UprearBUILD launches ZOi ‘BOXABLE’ Heathcare SmartPODs for Governments to quickly boost up their Primary Healthcare Infrastructure Network across INDIA and Globe. Introducing ‘ZOi’. ‘ZOi’ means ‘Life’ in Greek These BOXABLE Healthcare PODs are built by adhering to stringent building codes, however has a USP - that the entire structure (20’ x 18’ - 360 Sq.Ft.) – FOLDS/ can be BOXED in transportable dimensions of 20’x 8’ which can be hauled through trucks, trains, ships or helicopters. This gives Portability to a Permanent Structure! Further, these are Smart PODs with integrated Cloud based technology that tracks the patients from sign up, maintain health records, 24x7 Pharmacy Vending machine, follow ups and finally collects data that helps Governments make informed decision of infrastructure spent on regional basis. PROBLEM STATEMENT : INDIA is second most populous country in the world with Population of over 138 Crore people in 2021. Yet, INDIA ranks 9th in the list of World’s most ‘UN-Healthiest Countries’ and INDIA ranks 145th Globally in ‘Healthcare Access’ and Quality (HAQ) index - worse than even Bhutan, Bangladesh etc. 86% of full-time rural health care providers in India are in the private sector and 68% have no formal training. India is 2nd worst affected country due to COVID Pandemic and such Virus will mutate to some or other forms and the need for Vaccination and Data Collection will be evident in this new world. As per WHO, about 930 million people worldwide are at risk of falling into poverty due to out-of-pocket health spending of 10% or more of their household budget. Scaling up primary health care (PHC) interventions across low and middle-income countries could save 60 million lives and increase average life expectancy by 3.7 years by 2030. By 2050, one in four people will be over the age of 60 - three times the number of older persons living in the region in 2010. are countries in the region prepared to fully address the needs of older persons so that they can age with dignity? Primary Healthcare by definition needs following 3 things, which are NOT accomplished with the current state of PHC in INDIA (and similar 2nd and 3rd world countries): - Integrated / Accessible & Affordable Healthcare - Sustained Partnership with Patients (Consistency) - Practicing in context of Community & Family All in All, Governments will have to take Pro-active ( rather than Re-active) approach to Healthcare infrastructure and the time is ticking ! PROPOSED SOLUTION : ZOi Boxable Healthcare Smart PODs can be installed in the tight spaces and are Pre-Fabricated Structures built on a semi-automatic machine line adhering to the very best of Building Science principles. It can provide a quick answer to Primary Healtcare infrastructural needs on a ‘community level’ - so our poorest of the poor gets their healthcare support in an accessible, affordable and consistent manner. Alternative, it can be modified to set up quick Hospitals during Pandemic, Wars or Natural Calamities.
