Vaayuneer Sciences intends to generate renewable energy from photosynthesis on a large scale by building upon the work done and published in the Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B: Biology titled "PSII as an in vivo molecular catalyst for the production of energy rich hydroquinones - A new approach in renewable energy" by the founder of the company, Mr. Mohandas Sai Saranga Das, during his M. Tech in Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (He is the first author of the publication). For this purpose, the company has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras to work upon the process and scale it up, thereby generating intellectual property in the form of product and process patents. Since this technology, upon realization, would address one of the most pressing needs of mankind today - the requirement of a dependable source of clean and renewable fuel, our startup has tremendous potential for employment, both direct and indirect, as well as for wealth creation. Most importantly, it will pave the way for a sustainable, environment conscious tomorrow.
