www.seroihut.com Seroi Hut: We are an online platform where people can order "100% Authentic Home Food" meals which will be cooked by homemakers in their own kitchens and further deliver them to the customers by our delivery executives. An Idea behind the formation of Seroi Hut The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of females in India is among the lowest in the world at 26.97% This has been falling since 2005, when it was at a high of 36.78 %, whereas the world average stood at 48.47 % in 2018. Both organisational and societal factors play a role in the fewer number of women joining the workforce, some common issues are Organisational factors (question are asked like) • Will you be able to 'handle' pressures of the work since you recently got married? • Can you work after 6 pm? • Pay gap between male and female? Societal and Infrastructural factor like • Lack of education or high rate of school drop-out. • Non-availability of basic facilities like clean toilets, transportation over long distances, day care . All this results in a big workforce which is unemployed. So, we thought of coming up with an idea where the above mentioned organisational and societal factors do not have a role to play. Due to gender inequality in our traditional upbringing, our women are well versed in all the household work, especially cooking. So, we decided to explore this skill. Today, the Online Food Market Stands at ₹22,000 Crore with 16% growth rate. Looking at the current potential, we decided to venture into the online food market. But, our idea is not like the current market which is majorly governed by restaurants and Tiffin Services. This is how our idea is scalable and different from Tiffin services and restaurants already present in the markets. 1. Women empowerment: We have an abundant workforce as 73% of Indian women are still unemployed. So we are trying to generate employment to the much needed and neglected gender of our society. 2. Minimalist Competition: As of now there is no player serving 100% Authentic Home Food to customers in an organised setup, the way it is done by other food aggregators, hence there is huge potential for this sector. 3. Verities of Traditional and Regional Flavor: Customers can taste varieties of regional flavors as every homemaker comes with their own cultural and traditional style of cooking. 4. Experience is Served: Food is cooked by homemakers having years of experience and it would be cooked in their respective home kitchens. 5. 100% Home-Made with Love: Home-made food is essentially prepared for family and loved ones. Hence, it is prepared with hygiene, love and care. Therefore, to maintain the essence of homemade food, we have capped the orders flowing to a particular home chef based on his/her family size. This limited order rule will result in homemakers sharing the same food cooked for their family members rather than cooking it separately. This is the most important point which is often missing in many Tiffin services and restaurants. 6. Healthier Option: Much healthier option compared to others. 7. Customer Get the Best: Home chefs with high customer rating are given priorities, whereas in other services, a customer has to choose the kitchen or restaurant. 8. Zero Investment: Can be started with zero investment, which is not possible in other services. 9. Hassel Free: It does not require much effort, as the only addition to daily activities would be dressing and packaging of food. Customer handling and delivery will be taken care by us.
