Upaya is an early stage investor that selects its portfolio through an accelerator program. In 2018, Upaya launched its agribusiness accelerator. Agriculture remains the source of livelihood for approximately 65% of Indian population especially in rural areas and a key driver for Indian economic growth. Upaya's 2018 accelerator program will be focused on the agribusiness industry in India. We will select 8-10 entrepreneurs who are working to scale their early-stage job-creating companies with investments (up to $50,000 per enterprise) and consulting support.
