Parvata Foods is founded by IIM-Ahmedabad alumni to empower the farmers in difficult and hilly regions of North East India. We are the first player to build farmer-centric integrated value chain of organic produce from Sikkim, the only organic state in India. We are committed to delivering high quality authentic organic products to the consumers. We have re-defining the spice industry by innovating spice dehydration technology. Our innovative 3-stage closed-loop dehydration technology retains the maximum essential components, thereby providing superior colour, aroma and flavour. We run organic food processing units in Sikkim and Siliguri to add value to the produce, so that maximum returns can be provided to the farmers. We work directly with the farmers and provide them on-farm collection services with higher farm-gate prices and on-spot payments. We also provide them training in modern organic agriculture practices, suited to the region, to increase their productivity and income. Our work in the organic field has been appreciated by Hon'ble PM, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in his 'Mann ki Baat' program (January 2016) (watch video) and at several other forums (watch video). We have received First Lady felicitaton from the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, for our work with organic farmers in North East India. We have been featured in Forbes Asis 30 under 30 list for social entrepreneurship.
