We aim to develop materials, and technologies for the defence sector. India has traditionally been an importer of arms. With the recent Make in India initiative, some level of manufacturing has shifted to India; but Indian companies still do little in terms of fundamental research. For a nation to become a true leader globally; a local research and manufacturing arms base is a necessity. Supplies can easily be blocked off in case of conflict (think of East Pakistan in the 1971 war with Chittagong port being blockaded). Also, over reliance on foreign technology can mean long lead times for acquisition, and service issues. India has finally woken up to these realities, and successive governments are now trying to indigenize the industry. Our company will not only develop technologies and products; but will also inculcate the outlook of defence related research among thousands of academicians, and researchers around the country.
