KrishnaArya Tech Copr is working on development of Annapurna Multi-Purpose Energy Pod (MPEP) is an innovative, clean and reliable cooking solution based on the integration of Solar PV with Sodium Nickel Chloride (NaNiCl2) Zero Emissions high temperature battery made with table salt and ceramic materials. Providing a zero emission, smokeless, fossil fuel and grid independent cooking solution. The system can be installed indoors as well as outdoors. The battery can simultaneously be used for powering other small electric kitchen appliances and / or act as a backup. Annapurna MPEP is an effort to provide a healthy, convenient inexpensive and maintenance free cooking solution with a focus on rural areas across the world. This will have a major impact on emission caused due to the use of biomass used for cooking and related health, economic and environmental hazards that come with it. The Annapurna MPEP is capable of mass manufacturing & therefore has the potential to reach out to most of the 500 million Indians who currently do not have access to clean and reliable cooking. The target is to eventually manufacture over 2 Lakh batteries annually in the coming years. The Annapurna MPEP Chulha will be sold through distribution channels, direct sales, e-market channels and rural multi-brand retail outlets in collaboration with identified anchor customers and channel partners with potential tie-up with financial institutions and support from Government schemes and financial instruments such as NABARD to bring down the cost of ownership.
